Diary of a Boy Gardener

We are in the Berkshires, the beautiful rolling hills of western Massachusetts where the season is short and the frosts sometimes win. Visit Sally and David's Gardens and see how two old farts spend their time helping what plants they can find their place in this world.

Water water everywhere

The April showers have come in May this year. We have seen lots and lots of rain and some cold damp chilly days. The end is near and today promises to be sunny and the beginning of a nice warming trend. David will do pictures around the place today and get a May post up on the garden site (long overdue).
Many trees are in blossom and most are all leafed out. Lawn is very Irish due to the weather, with the dandelions bright yellow accents. Lots of mowing ahead.
We are trying to reclaim the neglected bank this year and making some good progress.
Still chopping and burning wood, mostly in the kitchen stove.
Ronnie should be dumping 10 cords way back real soon.
