Diary of a Boy Gardener

We are in the Berkshires, the beautiful rolling hills of western Massachusetts where the season is short and the frosts sometimes win. Visit Sally and David's Gardens and see how two old farts spend their time helping what plants they can find their place in this world.

Finally !!!

David got up extra early this morning, finally heavy with guilt and realizing that Sepember is very close, and so created an August page for all you gardening fans out there. Further, he will do his best to capture a few more details out there, however he has to work in Williamstown today and the few days following, and so they will be morning or evening shots.
Meanwhile, off to Goodrich Hall to install and wire speakers and rack for which conduit was run last week and rack built up.

Not Feeling Too Guilty

OK,
For those of you holding your breath to see August pictures and read garden blog progress, sad to say David has not been posting lately. To be a little fair, it rained for the first 11 days of August so the weeds flourished and the lawn grew to be very mower challanging.
But the primary reason for apparant sloth here is industry elsewhere. As the new webmaster for the Town of Hinsdale I have been busy assembling a new town site. It is finally up at it's own domain:
hinsdale-mass.org
Built with PHP-Nuke and several wonderful add on modules, it is a robust community gathering place. Now busy adding some real meat onto the rather bare skeleton.
So garden in good health and know that things are well here at the ranch.

Whining Continues

Dear Diary,
Arrrggghhh!
Well it got really HOT for several days and we almost lost some planters that didn't get watered for two days.
But that was last week. This week the rain is back.
Most of the wood is moved, enough August pictures are taken to make an August page, but David off to work soon, so will have to wait til another day, presuming more are coming.
Sorry to be such a lazy blogger, but lots of projects going on, especially indoors now with all this rain. Sally got her floor propped up so the room no longer dances when walking. All surface mounted plugs are now IN THE WALL ( that only took 20 years to get around to !!!). Caulking is done except between the boards (real soon now). Then comes oil based (stinko) tile red.
Sally is set up in the living room for a few weeks while all this is going on. Molly the cat is very confused by it all.
