Diary of a Boy Gardener

We are in the Berkshires, the beautiful rolling hills of western Massachusetts where the season is short and the frosts sometimes win. Visit Sally and David's Gardens and see how two old farts spend their time helping what plants they can find their place in this world.

David has revamped the site and is attempting to get Blogger to update, but so far no joy. There was a big problem at his ISP over the holidays and they changed a bunch of stuff so it probably related to those changes. Let's see if this gets posted.
Whoppee, the two earlier posts and this one magically appeared, so now we can get down to the business of actually posting stuff. The site is up (see link in left column) with the revamped version. Moved the calendar to it's own page. Starting to try and write DHML compliant code. Using style sheets. Hopefully getting ready for php templates so I can just generate pages on the fly with text and pictures in a data base (but this is all new and the brain ain't what it used to be).

As you can see from the date on the post below, David abandoned this site as August got going. So with the New Year came a resolution to return to the site and try and keep it up with a minimum of weekly posts during the off season and the hope to do daily posts May-Sep. Towards that end he is busy reorganizing file structures and changing conventions to make it easier to do. He also has in mind eventually using php to make all the garden photo pages. Work is progressing well and a January 2003 page should be posted very soon.
